Ethos & Philosophy -
everything we do is shaped
around our three Streams:
-
Connection & Community
We create welcoming spaces where community flourishes — nurturing friendships, support networks, and rhythm for over 100 local families each week. For many in our Home Education community, Broadleaf is a turning point: a safe harbour after challenges in mainstream education, and a place where children and families can reconnect, grow, and truly thrive.
-
Culture & Creativity
Culture and creativity are at the heart of our community. We celebrate imagination, expression, and shared experiences by offering workshops, events, and hands-on projects for all ages. From arts and crafts to music, storytelling, and cultural celebrations, we create opportunities for families to explore, create, and connect in meaningful, joyful ways.
-
Curiosity & Consent
We create a culture where children and young people feel safe, seen, and respected. Curiosity is encouraged through exploration and meaningful connection, while our consent-based approach honours each individual’s right to choose how they participate — empowering them to understand their needs and engage in ways that feel right for them.
We offer:
Space to come together
Broadleaf is a Home Ed Hub where families connect, grow, and build community through enrichment activities and shared opportunities.
We are:
A living, breathing community
Broadleaf is not a school, a service, or a childcare provider. It is a growing, evolving network of families learning with and from one another while we navigate our own home education journeys.
We provide:
Mutual Support
We are rooted in trust, wellbeing, and mutual support. Every family is a valued part of the whole, and are expected to actively contribute to the life of the community, helping nourish and sustain it together.
