Welcome to Broadleaf

Home Ed Families Together, Flourishing in Community since 2010

Broadleaf is an award-winning Family Hub in the heart of the New Forest, dedicated to children who are educated at home.

Changemaker of the Year 2025

We are a collective of home educating parents volunteering to co-ordinate creative, social and enrichment opportunities for fellow home ed families across Wessex:

Project Hub

Twice a week, we offer parent-facilitated sessions which build community, friendship and wellbeing through a variety of projects. We explore the world around us, learn life skills and make the most of our allotment and base in the heart of the New Forest.

Creative Hub

We believe the Arts are central to wellbeing and positive mental health. We have an amazing array of parents with skills in different areas, who lead workshops and activities for our children.

Family Hub

Come along to expert HE info sessions, socialise with other parents and connect with our community to make your Home Ed journey positive and empowering.

Research Hub

Part of the ACoRNS Research Network at the University of Southampton, we are at the cutting edge of research and practice in education and autism. You can learn more about ACoRNS at acorns-soton.org.uk

“The opportunities you bring to Broadleaf are wonderful. I don't know how you find all of these things and then actually manifest them - you clearly have creative magic dust oozing from your being.”

- Parent of T

“Since my daughter has been a member of Broadleaf, she’s become happier, more outgoing, and more resourceful.”

— Elaine, parent of Broadleaf member

“I had to give you a hug as even though we haven’t met before today, your support and kindness at such a difficult time has been the most valuable thing. Thank you for welcoming us and helping us believe in kindness again.”

- Mum of E

“ I’ve felt like a weight lifted this week since finding you - thank you for being so kind.”

— Anna, parent of new Broadleaf member

“Thank you, from a very tired super mum. This last year was a turning point for us. You all have been so lovely and supportive and I'm so glad we found you. I think now we are on our way......finally.”
