More than numbers
Broadleaf supports more than 60 families each week, but the difference we make is about far more than numbers.
Children and young people, whether they have always been home educated or have found that school is no longer accessible, find somewhere they can belong without having to change who they are.
Parents find understanding, friendship and practical support, while families build the relationships and connections that help family life feel more supported, connected and hopeful.
What this means for families
Children and young people can join in at their own pace, without pressure to perform or fit in. Over time, they build trusted relationships and grow in confidence that ripple far beyond Broadleaf.
Parents meet people who understand, share practical knowledge and become part of a community where they can share the journey. .These small changes build over time, helping families feel more connected, supported and hopeful about what comes next.
Impact beyond our groups
Broadleaf’s impact extends beyond our weekly community. Through our NHS partnerships, we host clinics and help families connect with wider services. We liaise with LAs to maintain constructive relationships and support good practice with home-educating families.
Our work contributes to national research and policy, including evidence given to the Education Select Committee and Parliament. These partnerships bring knowledge and opportunities into Broadleaf while raising families’ voices to be heard beyond our community.
