We’re delighted to launch Broadleaf Open Arts

Our new programme of FREE clubs and creative activities for children, young people and families learning outside school across Wessex.

  • Roots and Rhythm – in collaboration with African Activities

From January, Broadleaf will be partnering with African Activities to deliver Roots and Rhythm — a vibrant 12-week programme exploring art, music, drumming, dance, storytelling and creative writing for wellbeing.

Families will immerse themselves in the rhythms, colours and creativity of African culture through joyful, hands-on sessions designed to inspire and connect.

  • Visual Arts with Kate Burgin Art

From springtime 2026, Broadleaf’s new Visual Arts programme will invite children and families to explore creativity through ceramics, painting, photography and mixed-media projects.

Across 12 months, we’ll experiment with materials, techniques and personal expression — building confidence, curiosity and joy in making. A celebration of imagination in all its forms!

  • Broadleaf Musical Theatre Club – Creativity in Full Voice

Our Musical Theatre Club will bring energy, laughter and confidence to the Broadleaf community. Through singing, acting, movement and stagecraft, young people explore storytelling, teamwork and self-expression.

Each term builds towards informal showcases, giving everyone the chance to shine, whether centre stage or behind the scenes.
